Imam Square: Located in the city center, connected to the Lin 0, formerly known as King Square before the revolution. It is 510 meters long, 165 meters wide, with an area of over 80,000 square meters, equivalent to twice the size of Moscow’s Red Square. Built in 1612 during the Safavid Dynasty, it was the largest square in the world at that time, with many attractions scattered around it. The square’s pool and fountains are pleasing to the eye, especially on moonlit nights, creating the picturesque scene of “a bright moon under the water, a floating moon on the water.” This was once the heart of the Safavid Dynasty’s capital. Today, this former venue for horse racing, military training, games, and competitions has become a must-see for visitors. It used to be a polo field here.
