Artemis is the Greek goddess of hunting, known as Lat by the Arabs, Isis by the Egyptians, and Diana by the Romans. In ancient Greece, the goddess Artemis was highly revered, leading to the construction of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The ruins of the Temple of Artemis are estimated to be located in the ancient city of Ephesus, approximately 50 kilometers south of Izmir (Smyrna) in Turkey.
